Proven Skincare has announced it has been granted a second personalization patent. This patent works in conjunction with the brand’s patent issued in July 2022, which focused on how personalized products are adjusted over time. This patent focuses on the manufacturing process and how specific products are made when based on specific criteria. The new patent protects the manufacturing of personalized products using geographic, environmental and seasonal information, such as water hardness, temperature, humidity, and UV levels—to modify ingredient lists selected for a particular customer with a particular skin concern. Ming S. Zhao, Proven co-founder and CEO, says, “The future of the skincare industry is being shaped by personalization and AI, and this patent further places PROVEN at the forefront of this technological revolution. “The expansion of our patent portfolio marks an important moment for our company…and we thrilled to continue to cement our position as the leader in personalized skincare.” Proven was founded in 2017 by Ming Zhao and Dr. Amy Yuan and launched in 2019. The company has grown rapidly to become the a leading luxury skincare personalization brand—and has a sister brand, Noteworthy.
